As you look for ways to make money on the internet
you are bound to stumble across paid online surveys. There are numerous
companies and programs that claim you can make money effortlessly by
sitting back and filling out surveys online. The question at hand is
whether they truly are worth your time.
There are companies that
claim you can make a full-time income just by filling out surveys. They
make it out as if you can sit down on your computer and make hundreds of
thousands of dollars taking questionnaires and surveys. Unfortunately,
this is not exactly the case.
You will find that you can make
some extra cash taking paid online surveys, but you need to realize that
you cannot make a living off of this. Think of surveys as a way to make
some side cash along with other online business opportunities.
Businesses and survey companies try to make it out like you can live off
of the earnings and this is where many people consider this opportunity
more of a scam than anything.
While the legitimate survey
companies will pay you for your efforts, most surveys will pay out no
more than a dollar or two. In order to make a decent amount of money,
you would have to fill out several surveys every hour. The problem with
this is many companies have a limit as to how many you can fill out per
day.
The legitimate companies are nothing more than data
collection agencies. They make money off of the information that you
provide such as your name, address and phone number. Collecting agencies
can then take this information and sell them to companies who are
interested in selling to you. Your reward is earning petty change for
the surveys you fill out.
In addition to being limited to the
amount of surveys you can take per day, most companies also have a
payment threshold. What this means is that you must make a certain
amount of money before you can get your money. If you take paid online
surveys seriously, it should be no problem meeting this threshold. But
it is still another downside you will have to deal with in regards to
online surveys.
So the underlying question is whether or not it
is worth your time to take paid online surveys? The answer lies in what
you are looking for. If you are looking for some extra money on the
side, this isn’t such a bad thing. But if you are looking for a full-time
online business opportunity, you had better start looking elsewhere.
