The meaning of this post is to give you some basics about how article marketing works in practice. The basic route goes like this:
1. Identify the product which you want to market through this procedure. Have a clear idea about that product in depth. This helps you take the things in proper manner.
2. Find out the related key words for that particular product. This plays vital role in this kind of marketing. You need to find targeted people to read your articles.
3. If you have a website fine if not buy a domain now to practice this marketing. Most popular article directories do not allow promoting some specific products directly. You can promote them through your website.
4. Create your website. You can use, for example, some free blogging platforms, such as WordPress. However, it is important that you use it at your own domain. This way you are in full control of your site which is very important in this type of business model.
5. Write a couple of articles and submit them to popular article directories such as EzineArticles, IdeaMarketers, etc.

6. While submitting at article directories put text link(s) of your site to the author resource box. This is usually is the only place you are allowed to link to your site.
7. After your articles are accepted you can also bookmark them to social directories you are involved.
8. Submit each article to as many directories as possible.
That’s it. This is quite straightforward procedure. However, you have to remember that article marketing is a long term method. You need to be patient and get a lot of articles (preferably at least one or two articles per week) written and submitted. The number of articles you make will be the reflection of your financial outcome.
